Maintenance going well – Friday 11 March 2022

Bubble was lifted on Monday and I’ve been up to the boat yard most days to work on her. Most jobs are now done save for the antifouling, which I will leave for next week when the weather is expected to be better. I managed to get the heat-exchanger core out but, as expected, it fought me for a bit and I was very worried about damaging it. After a tip from Steve from Perfect Lady in the boatyard I bought a small electric sander called a ‘Mouse’ and that proved to be a godsend for cleaning off the propeller and sail drive leg. I have primed each with a coat of Primocon and will antifoul them next week once I’ve antifouled the hull.

An hour later … the heat exchanger core is revealed. Not too much cleaning needed.
